Hotel Review: Comfort Xpress Hotel Tromsø

If you ever are planning to take the trip to North-Norway I recommend to visit Tromso. If you want to see the Northern lights and explore the beautiful nature than it is a good idea to find a hotel that is central and close to all the attractions.

I am still on holiday in North-Norway and it is amazing to be here. I am originally from Tromso, hence to why I have been here for over a month.

In this article, I thought I could share my views on a recent hotel I have been staying at and tips about what you can do in the area! The hotel I was staying at was central and close to the main shopping centre and other facilities which you will find in “Storbygata”. One of the most important things to think about when booking a place to stay is the location.

I decided to spend a weekend in the main city Tromso and went for a choice hotel with normal standard. The hotel I went for was non-breakfast included, hence to why it wasn’t expensive. They also had an existing bar on the main floor for a quick snack or something cool to drink.

I got a normal double room.

The style of the hotel is very modern and retro. On the main floor, you will also find a lounge where you can play games or drink with your friends. The place is very cosy and a good alternative for pre-drinks before heading to the clubs/pubs.

These smoothies are really yummy

IMG_0446If you would like to explore and start the day off with a good breakie I recommend Jordbærpikene which is on the top floor at Nerstranda shopping centre. The shopping centre is only 3 -4 minutes away from the hotel and they have good varieties of choices to spoil yourself with, anything from gluten free sandwiches to cupcakes and chocolate cake. Whatever you like! The prices depend on the breakfast you go for, but I can definitely say that it is worth the money. The best thing is that you also get a spectacular view, within the price.

The view is just breathtaking and it is why this has become one of my favourite places to eat! I recommend visiting this place if you are ever around and would like to enjoy a nice lunch or breakfast by the sea.

I hope you liked this review and that it inspired you to book the hotel in the nearest future 🙂

I use for all of my bookings, they are easy, quick and gives you everything you need in a hotel. You can easily choose the hotel, price and location that is suitable for you. You don’t need to pay in advance at, pay at the day you check in and start your holiday!

What do you think of the hotel? Have you been to Tromso before?
